day 0: exciting beginnings in kuching

Haven't been to KLIA for quite some time. This time, I'll be on a client project for 3 months in Kuching. Somehow it feels like as if I'm going on an international internship (just that it's only across the South China Sea), but then again I get to be back home once every 2-3 weeks!

Arrived at the Kuching airport and was already excited for the journey ahead. Met with client and took us to our accomodation. We're going to stay in a town house. When we first arrived, I was already suprised and excited that the place was really really good! (will be posting a video of it soon). It's somewhat similar to the MC flat in Causeway Bay, Hong Kong just that it's much bigger of course. And what more, we have a swimming pool as well ;D

Drop off our luggage, and then went around town. Jeff was really nice to give us a tour around town. And even took us to the client's office. I was totally lost; but tried really really hard to recognize the roads. Key landmark is Ambank - it was mentioned like so many times that I thought it was like a state landmark or something :P Roundabouts - there are so many of them that we had to label them. House on the roundabout, cats on the roundabout, water fountain on the roundabout etc. Then there is also the Kuching's very own Low Yat Plaza.

Lunch at 'cheng'. The food is really 'cheng' though we had to wait for almost 45 minutes. And as soon as we finished, we had to leave cause others were staring at us, waiting for us to leave so that they could have our table.

Went to Boulevard for shopping, mainly groceries for our stay in Kuching. And then back home to catch some Zzz. Met with Eve & Jeff for dinner at this place near the cinema building. We had good seafood & chicken porridge. After which is back home to rest early to prepare for Day 1 of the project tomorrow.

Special thanks to Jeff for being such a good host ;D and to Eve for having Jeff take us around ;)
