fun ops weekend

The weekend was spent mostly on sharing internship stories; stories which go deeper than the usual inspiring ones. The kind of stories you hardly would share - and even if you did, not many would understand what it meant for you. Stories of cultural shock, reverse cultural shock, making tough decisions, trust, friendship and more. I'm very thankful for a life changing internship experience ;)

It was a really fun Outgoing Preparation Seminar weekend, preparing 11 students for their summer internship. And again, this time no AIESEC content except for a short 15 minutes on "Focus: Why internship?". Outgoing Preparation Seminar was focus on building intercultural competency and who best to facilitate the conference than people who have gone for an internship - Jamie, San San & me :) Well, the next time, we should definetely get current interns to be part of the faci team!

At the recent AIESEC-LC-TUC's LLDS, someone asked "What would you change in your AIESEC Experience?". And I said "I would want to go through the same AIESEC Experience I had with 2 additional items - LCP and DT PBOX in CEE". Sometimes I do wonder, how it would turn out if I actually went for a DT PBOX in CEE - there was this DT PBOX in Moldova for 2 months starting just after IC 2007!
