2008 journey

I got a few friends writing about their 2008 journey as it seems kinda cool to reflect and put it down. So here goes!

January - super excited memorable month of the year!
Was in Hong Kong over the New Year. Celebrated it with friends from all around the world. Chaired WNCF which helped a lot in terms of coping with reverse cultural shock ;) BU members threw me a surprise birthday with presents! Thanks so much. The gang celebrated my birthday as well. My very own I'm an AIESECer poster all around UPM campus which was just crazy!!! Loved this month so so so much ;)

February - loads of reflection!
Had lots lots lots of reflection trying to understand myself better ;) Hmm... this led to me picking up the reading habit again. Well, what for? To find out answers of questions I have during reflection! Read Happier which was a good read, and moving to The Passion Test.

March - friends visiting & the team!
Georgi, Ricky & Phoebe drop by in Malaysia ;) Made me miss Hong Kong again. What more, finally AirAsia is flying direct to Hong Kong!!! A team without the leader and found out what's really happening :(

April - learning & development!
Super cool Talent Management training in Singapore - gave me an opportunity to meet up with Nicole, Rina, Shirley, Amy, Yasmine & Sharon. Facilitated TUC's LLDS which was just way awesome! Genting outing with the gang which was a cool break from work. Finally, I got my Authentic Happiness book! Closer to finding the answers...

May - outings!
Port Dickson outing with the gang - banana boat & bbq ;) Bukit Tinggi outing with the team - champions for the Xplore Race! Just scratch the surface of understanding myself using Gallup's assessment. Dug a bit deeper to what makes me tick at work.

June - reunions!
Finally, met up with San San after so long! The last time I met her was in Feb 2007 - more than a year ago. The 1st of many IKEA dinners to come... Hong Kong lost sheep visits Malaysia!!! Way awesome reunion with these guys ;)

July - sharing my @XP!
Started to get involved more with my home LC. Sharing my story to newies & sharing the putracd story. Absolutely loved the putracd story so much! Hope that we can all be in Malaysia to do it the next time ;) Also conversations with the LCP to coach my home LC.

August - thankful!
Reflected on so much I've achieved after 1 year back in Malaysia and am very thankful. Loved the inspiring news concept by Jarda and was a reporter! Got a lot more books.

September - conversations at work!
Conversations are really cool especially when everyone are open to dialogues instead of discussions. Learning to be in FLOW. Broadway Parodies Lagi Lah - reminds me of how much I missed theather classes ;)

October - putracd + 1!
At last, San San & Jason's wedding after so long! Deep reflection on work. Psychometric assessment craze build up - MBTI, DISC, StregthsFinder, VIA Character Strengths etc

November - trainings!
Attended trainings on leadership development & culture transformation. Co facilitated a faciliation workshop. Agenda manager for TtT! Crazy month of trainings!!!

December - crossroads!
Enjoyed dinner with Singsing & Megan. Superb awesome dinner with Egle - we just got so much to share after such a long time! Got shocked when I got the news. At a crossroad, but am leaning towards one over the other. Still trying to make a decision ;)


As I'm writing this post, it reminds me of so much of what has happened in just 1 year ;) Thanks to everyone who has made my 1 year excitedly eventful all the time! Setting goals for 2009 and need to put in effort in making sure that it becomes reality.
