1 day 1 month 1 year

Today - 1 day, 1 month, 1 year arriving back in Malaysia after a year long exciting adventure in Hong Kong!

Was treated lunch today by my client at a Chinese restaurant in the hotel. Had lunch together with 1 GM, 1 AGM, 1 Sr Manager and 3 Managers. It was quite a sumptuous lunch as we were served 8 dishes :)

Looking back, I would never have imagined that 1 day, 1 month, 1 year later I would be where I am today. I knew that I wanted a HR related career and had way low expectations to what I could be after a year, knowing that my studies are nothing related to business. But it seems that things worked out really really well ;) Like how I fast tracked within my organization and got to do some initiatives which I'm passionate about.

An adventure in a foreign land definitely helped me find my path, discover my passion and most importantly to see the world from another side. Sometimes I wonder, what would have happened if I didn't go to HK. Probably would be stuck as a product engineer in the electronics industry, struggling each day to meet deadlines. Wouldn't have meet many people, nor had conversations which matters. Nor learned about myself better and what my calling would be ;)

I'm thankful for everything which happened in my HK adventure.

Now I wonder - where I would be a year from today? what I'll be doing? Possibilities endless!


I guess I need to start drafting out a list of things to achieve for the following year ;) And put my mind to making it happen!
