to be inspring
Woke up pretty late today as it was a crazy New Year celebration. Didn't do much - reading & replying emails ;) Got myself a sandwich & cup noodle for brunch as I didn't feel like eating much.
Met up with Ken for dinner in Mongkok to catch up. It was a really good chat ;) One of the topics which we talked about was on how to be inspiring. This discussion pop up as Ken was planning to write something to inspire leadership.
So I was sharing with him my recent experience on this. Recently, I went back to my home LC to share about my @XP. Was given 45 minutes to share my 4-years @XP - was a great challenge! And after the sharing, I myself felt that I could have done it better; but surprisingly even the EBs came up to me to want to listen more and said that it was so inspiring. And I thought to myself, what did I say to make it inpsiring? Then I thought that probably it was the stories which I shared are the stories which has impacted me the most during my journey in AIESEC. Story of me experiencing snow. Story of me meeting young people from over 100 countries & territories. And lots more...

Sometimes, we do take for granted about the impact we have on others through in AIESEC. The very fact that Susie & Maggie were excited to meet me in Malaysia and was immediate to share it with their colleagues about me shows that even I myself didn't know the extend of my actions ;) What I did was to provide them an opportunity to go through an internship which I hope would be life changing for them as it was for me. What I didn't expect was how much it made an impact to their life.
At the end of the day, I would say that share whatever you feel is most important to you and when done with enthusiasm, the inspiring magic would somehow appear ;) Well, at least this has worked for me so far - hopefully it would also work for him as well...
