returning to nlds malaysia as an alumni

My last NLDS Malaysia was in 2005 where I was on the MC. Till today, I can still remember the hours of me preparing my sessions, making time to chat with delegates as well as the atmosphere of young people from all over Malaysia gathered together for 5 days.

I crashed in the recent NLDS Malaysia 2007 at UM on a Saturday night together with my bunch of friends. Reason was that we wanted to take a peek of how AIESEC Malaysia was doing after turning alumni for a year, except for me who just became an alumni recently ;P But for me, I felt the same as my friends as I myself have lost touch with AIESEC Malaysia after being abroad for a whole year.

It felt totally strange when I stepped into the plenary. It felt a bit better when I met a few familiar faces who were facilitators ;) Some of them who I've met before at conferences, and other who I've worked together before. When I observed the delegates dancing, it just made me miss AIESEC conferences so much. It's all about the environment of energetic, passionate & active learning young people!

And somehow my friends and I were asked to introduced ourselves to the delegates. When I was introducing myself, memories of alumni introducing themselves at my very 1st NLDS in UUM was at the back of my mind. And today, I am an alumni introducing myself to the plenary ;) It was great to listen to their roll calls for each of us. Met up & had short chats with some EBs who I knew before and also got introduced to some new faces ;)


All in all, had a good time returning to NLDS Malaysia as an alumni...
