sugar cubes

sugar cubes - something common that we would have in our coffee & tea. But to me & many of my AIESEC friends, sugar cubes are one of the best bring backs from conferences. Sugar cubes are basically envelopes where you would have your name written on it and put up on the wall. Your friends would be writing messages to you during the conference and put it in your sugar cube. The rule is that you are only allowed to read those messages after the conference. These messages are the best as the messages are always really sweet ;)

I was just going through all my sugar cubes which I've collected and reading each one of them. It just brings back so many good memories. I realized that a very common word used is "thank you" in most of the messages. Also that the messages are very short ;)

However, at times when you received messages which are longer - it would clearly explain to you how much you have impacted the person. These are the more personal messages in which makes your day. Love these messages a whole lot ;) but there are rarely available most of the time.

To receive many short messages or a few personal ones? Hmmm... I wouldn't be the one to make the decision rather than it's up to friends I met at the conference ;)
