preparing others for an internship

Last weekend, was facilitating at the Outgoing Preparation Seminar. It just feels soooo different facilitating it before my internship, during my internship, and after my internship.

Before my internship - it was always concepts & a list of to-cover topics to prepare membesr to go on internship. It was always something which I tried to understand but didnt seem to get it at times... And most of the time was relying on reading or talking to interns & returnees... but just didnt really get there yet...

During my internship - Felt that the session definitely made more sense, and seems that everything is all connected. Also felt a personal connection to some of the sessions and how it could be run better. And that when facilitated with other interns, it just makes the whole conference even more exciting as we are going through a similar experience

After my internship - Everything makes sense! Totally made sense. Have a personal connection to all the sessions. Kinda made me reflect through the whole experience as well. During my internship, everything went well or least I had pretty low expectations. The more I reflect back, the more I connect to the eXchange stage of the @XP. Sounds corny, but it's true. Wished that I would have been on eXchange in my 1st year in AIESEC; and then it would be sooo much more easier in communicating eXchange to others - getting more members to go on eXchange, able to prepare members for eXchange better.

Had an amazing time at the recent OPS together with Egle, Mantas, Wai Khey, Nadya & Nelson ;) And it's great to see members of AIESEC Hong Kong all ready & geared up for internship soon.

So what makes a superb OPS agenda??
An agenda manager who has gone on eXchange as well as agenda design/conference facilitation experience;)
